Dr. Jennifer L. Ayers
Dr. Jennifer L. Ayers, was locally born and raised in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside, graduating with honors. She earned a second Bachelor of Science Degree in Vision Science and her Doctorate of Optometry from NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. While at NOVA, she became a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Dr. Ayers was named “Extern of the Year” during her optometric training, which included an ocular disease rotation at Tianjin Eye Hospital in Tianjin, China.
Dr. Ayers practices full scope optometry and works with patients of all ages. She specializes in ocular disease management including the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. She has extensive experience in dry eye and allergy eye care, as well as specialty contact lens fittings, including bifocal contacts.
Dr. Ayers and her husband reside in Racine and enjoy fishing, camping, and traveling. She is a member of the American Optometric Society and the Wisconsin Optometric Society.
